Located on the traditional territories of the Hupacasath and Tseshaht First Nations, the Port Alberni Shelter Society (PASS) is a registered Canadian charity that provides food, housing, clothing, recovery programs and employment opportunities to individuals experiencing homelessness.

The Port Alberni Shelter Society (PASS) believes that everyone deserves a home.

PASS operates a wide variety of low-barrier, pet-friendly housing options. Our facilities also include an Overdose Prevention Site (OPS), a Sobering Centre, a Therapeutic Recovery Centre (TRC) and multiple social enterprises, including Shelter Farm. Additionally, we offer extensive harm reduction services, a teaching kitchen and a food recovery and distribution program.

We respectfully acknowledge that our facilities are located on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the Nuu-chah-nulth Peoples, which include the Hupacasath and Tseshaht First Nations. We also recognize and honour the contributions of the Métis and Inuit communities. We are committed to fostering a spirit of reconciliation and partnership with all Indigenous peoples, and we strive to respect and support their ongoing connection to this land.
