Located on the traditional territories of the Hupacasath and Tseshaht First Nations, the Port Alberni Shelter Society (PASS) is a registered Canadian charity that provides food, housing, clothing, recovery programs and employment opportunities to individuals experiencing homelessness.

The Port Alberni Shelter Society (PASS) believes that everyone deserves a home.

PASS operates a wide variety of low-barrier, pet-friendly housing options. Our facilities also include an Overdose Prevention Site (OPS), a Sobering Centre, a Therapeutic Recovery Centre (TRC) and multiple social enterprises, including Shelter Farm. Additionally, we offer extensive harm reduction services, a teaching kitchen and a food recovery and distribution program.

We gratefully acknowledge that our facilities are located on traditional, ancestral and unceded territories of the Nuchatlaht (Nuu-chah-nulth) Peoples, which includes the local Hupacasath and Tseshaht First Nations. We would like to also acknowledge the contributions from Métis, Inuit, and urban Indigenous Peoples to Indigenous ways of being and knowing in Canada.
