Warm, clean and dry clothes are essential for people who are experiencing homelessness or extreme poverty. Through a variety of community partnerships and through generous contributions from our community, the Port Alberni Shelter Society is able to provide free clothing to our clients. We also collect and distribute clean towels, linen, blankets, shoes and coats.

Should you wish to donate clothing, please ensure your items are clean and in fair condition. We accept clothing for all genders and sizes.

Donated clothing can be dropped off at our Overdose Prevention Site (OPS) at 3699 3rd Ave (off Bute St).

Open seven days a week: 8am– 8pm. Thank you!

Did you know? Wet or dirty socks can breed bacteria and cause foot infections or problems. Clean, dry socks for adults (and underwear!) are one of our most needed and requested items!

Thank you to Mr. & Mrs. Casanave of Port Alberni for their donation of 25 warm winter coats for our shelter clients.
