Hello, my name is Lady! You may have seen me before hanging out in my custom built dog house that’s in front of the Our Home on Eighth shelter (corner of 8th/Maitland). My dad is Don, he works tirelessly for PASS to help care for people in need. In fact, he drives to Costco on a regular basis to pick up unwanted food items to be distributed at the OPS right here in Port! He’s a great guy and does such a good job to help feed people in our community who are hungry. I am really proud of him!
I met Don about 3 years ago. I was only 6 months old at the time, and I was dropped off at the Sobering Centre. I had nowhere to go and Don took me in – giving me a great forever home! I am very thankful.
I like to come to the Shelter with my dad, especially on Wednesdays and Fridays. I get to hang out in my dog house and visit with the shelter staff and residents. I am very friendly and I give great kisses. I also love kids and most other dogs, although I don’t really like cats. I like playing in the water and I have lots of toys, balls are my favourite. But sometimes when I am scared and I don’t feel safe, I will bark a lot – especially at garbage trucks! I don’t like big trucks or air brakes, they worry me!!
I want to thank everyone who asks about me, I am lucky to have such good friends and family.
