Located at 3679 3rd Ave (near the corner of Bute St.), our Sobering Centre is a safe place where those under the influence can sober up and access resources and support. The centre is open 24/7 and is equipped with a fully stocked kitchen, bathroom and first aid supplies. Meals, hygiene products, laundry services and free clothing are also provided. Self-referral and drop-in available.
In addition to providing care to those under the influence, the Sobering Centre benefits tax-payers by helping to reduce congestion at West Coast General Hospital, and the use of emergency first responder services in general (police, fire, ambulance).
