Swiss or rainbow chard is a leafy green vegetable that can be steamed, sautéed, used in soups, stews, casseroles or salads. Both the leaves and stems are edible. Swiss chard and rainbow chard taste the same, the primary difference is rainbow chard has multicolored stalks.

Chard is an excellent source of an excellent source of vitamin A and vitamin K and a good source of vitamin C and magnesium.
