We need to install a new hydro line (call it a “lifeline” to the future) from the northern section of Shelter Farm and Therapeutic Recovery Centre to the southern end of the property; this will allow us to build an additional Therapeutic Recovery Centre (for 20+ students) and enable us to triple the cultivated area of the Farm.
As you may know, our recently opened TRC (Therapeutic Recovery Community) provides care for six female clients who are recovering in a more educational than a medical model, and hence are referred to as students. PASS has been seeking and getting positive feedback regarding government funding for such program additions and infrastructure improvements, a future key to which, is bringing a hydro line to the southern section of the Shelter Farm.
The actual cost of installing this hydro line will be around $130,000, but with government and other assistance, the cost to PASS will be $70,000; and with the help of “matching” grants, PASS needs to raise half, or $35,000. So, we do hope you will consider supporting this very specific project by helping us raise the $35,000.
Help us install a critical hydro line, so we can throw a lifeline to more PASS clients, particularly those seeking life management and recovery skills through our growing resources at the Shelter Farm and Therapeutic Recovery Centre.
Thank you for continuing to consider PASS and thank you for your previous support of PASS’s vital function within our community.
Sincerely,
John
